Acoustic Blender

We've been blessed to have Acoustic Blender play in the past and now they are back!

ACOUSTIC BLENDER is an alternative folk group consisting of Hope Wesley Harrison, Justin Solonynka, and David & Jenny Heitler-Klevans (otherwise known as Two of a Kind). Complex vocal arrangements are the centerpiece of the group. Acoustic Blender’s repertoire is eclectic, with themes ranging from the personal to the political, the ridiculous to the sublime.

December 2011's Headline Performer: Romans Road

“As a Christian rock band from Philadelphia, these guys are using their gifts to bring glory to His Word. Pulling from their own trials and experiences, their music is their own personal testimony as to how the Lord has changed their lives. The music is a mix of classic rock jams to hard rock anthems.

“Fans of Kutless, Pillar and Third Day will find a lot to enjoy in Romans Road. Even those who are not immediate fans of Christian rock should give this a listen. This rock band is redefining the genre, and making some great friends along the way.”

Common Grounds Community Coffee House is a community cafe in Jarrettown United Methodist Church's Fellowship Hall.

Common Grounds is open on the third Friday in September, December, March and June. We feature a musical cafe with a friendly, low-key atmosphere where neighbors meet on common ground. Open mic and opportunities to listen or play family-friendly music.

Baby sitting is available for children under 6, while older children will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

Acoustic Open Mic Night

Bring your guitar, keyboard (or any unplugged instrument), poetry, and friends as you entertain us on stage. When you arrive, see the MC, Craig Skinner to sign up. Stick around to enjoy some hot and cold beverages and a variety of treats.
