Our Adult ministries has various ministry opportunities within the local congregation for growth and education. Our Christian Growth team's mission is to foster these opportunities. We have more than 10 groups in addition to our Sunday morning Adult Sunday School classes which meet in the community on a regular basis to provide Bible study, and fellowship.

Our prayer is that every member will go the extra mile and spend the extra hour each week in small group study. Whether you commit to a W.O.W. study, join one of the small groups that are now forming, or create a small group to fit your own needs as a Christian single, woman, parent lay leader… possibilities are popping up all over!

Jarrettown United Methodist Church was established 150 years ago when concerned Christians met together in a Sunday School Cell on the porth of the home which is directly across Limekiln Turnpike from our driveway. Sunday School Methodist Cells or Classes for adults have been the backbone of our Church ever since.
The Seekers Class seek to understand God's Will for our Lives. We meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 for fellowship and at 10:00 a lesson from the Bible is given. We are entirely Bible centered and study and quote the scriptures at every meeting.
The class is moderated by Jerry Hamilton and Bill Ackerman. Jerry has been at the helm of an Adult Sunday School Class for over 40 years and enjoys sharing God's Word with those who will hear.
Alpha is a W.O.W. Small Group Study- An Opportunity to explore the meaning of life. The Alpha Course is a twelve-week practical introduction to the Christian faith offering answers to some key questions. Our invitation is simply to attend the first evening – try it out – if you enjoy it, then continue on in the course.

Our small group meets every Thursday evening for fellowship, prayer and Bible study . The small group format allows for open discussion and insights from fellow Christians. We all draw strength and comfort in sharing our relationship with God in our daily lives as well as providing support for each other. We are studying "Psalms: Folk Songs of the Bible". Our group is currently at capacity.

We are women who formed a group when our church studied Rick Warren’s “Forty Days of Purpose” in 2003. Since then, we have also studied “The Purpose Driven Community” and several books. We meet in each other’s homes. We support each other and pray for each other, our church and our world. For the past few years, our mission was to help the Cahlinks at St. Phillips Church, feeding the poor and homeless. Since they now have enough help within their church, our new mission is to make meals for Aid For Friends.
At this time, however, our group is too large and therefore is unable to take in new members.
Men often have a different interpretation of God’s Word and of life than women. Our MEN’S DEVOTIONS offers men a chance to fellowship together, discuss God’s Word and talk about our experiences/insights in an informal non-threatening manner. Our study is open to all men in the church and the community. There is no prior reading required. We offer two different times of the week for you to consider; 7:00 AM on Saturday or 6:00 AM on Tuesday; both are held twice a month. It is recommended that you BRING YOUR OWN COFFEE.

11:00 am Sunday - Middle School and High School
The two Youth Sunday School classes meet at 11:00 am in the Ark. The Middle School group is 6th-8th graders, while the High School group is all 9th-12th graders. The Sunday School is a place for the youth to develop their faith as they struggle with the questions in their lives. Through study of the Bible, group discussion, and an application of the material to their own lives, the youth explore what it means to be a Christian.
