The JUMC Youth Ministry seeks to serve 7-12 grade students in the church.
Our purpose is to bring students to Christ and to disciple students in their
relationship with Christ. We seek to communicate that Jesus is the only way
to have life to the fullest. We do that by implementing several key programs
and activities in our ministry.

Youth Group:Tuesday Nights from 7-9PM

We meet on Tuesday Nights for Youth Group at 7PM in the Ark. It is a night filled with fellowship, games, fun, food, the Word, worship and small groups. Students can come and hang out and play awesome games, and relax with their friends. After this, we enter into our time or worship with great music. Then we hear a message from the Word of God and break up into small groups who are led by adults who love God and love students.
Sunday School
We meet every Sunday at 11AM in the Ark for Sunday School. This is our time to get into the Word of God. Students come and fellowship, grow together as a group and study a book of the Bible.
Classes include fellowship, small group discussion and practical Biblical application for students.
The aim is to teach students basic backgrounds of the Biblical books, key themes and main characters, as well as how it relates to their lives today.
Special Events
In addition to Youth Group and Sunday School, we have many activities that offer students fun and fellowship. These activities include Nifty Fifties Nights, bowling and laser tag, mini-golf, Sonic trips, movie nights, and much more. We also have two awesome mission trips in the summer of 2011:
Our JR High students will be traveling to Ocean Grove,NJ June 26–29.
This is a great trip that will introduce our JR high students to missions. They will be involved in service projects, fellowship with other youth group, worship, and a balance of other ministry opportunities.
Our SR high students will be traveling to New York City, NY, July 17–22.
During this trip,our students will engage in service projects, and spend time in soup kitchens and other communityorganizations. We will also be outin neighborhoods praying with the less fortunate and sharing the love of Christ with them.
