Junior/Senior High MinistryThe Youth Group includes grades 6-12 and meets in the Ark on Tuesday nights from 7 - 9 pm. The goal of the Youth Group is to help transition the youth from the role of child to that of adolescence and recognize their growing independence and accountability. We now have the opportunity to flesh out the Bible stories they learned when they were younger and introduce them into the context of the Bible as a whole. We also address emerging life issues and how to apply God’s word to the decisions we are now faced with. We strive to enable these young adults to grow in the understanding of the message of Jesus Christ and how to shine as his light in the world that tries to pull us away from Him All of this is mixed together with Christian fellowship and fun, building positive lasting relationships.

In addition to the excitement the youth have on Tuesday evenings the youth go Ultimate Bumper Bowling, to the Electric Factory to see concerts, have parties on any holiday or special occasion, get together with other youth groups, do scavenger hunts, play Capture the Flag, go to Hershey and Dorney Parks, and since it is now summer cookouts and pool parties are the number one thing to do. The activity that the youth do most often and that they enjoy the most are the Lock-in at the Ark.
If you have suggestions or questions about activities please call one of the pastors.
The two youth Sunday School classes meet at 11:00 am in the Ark. The junior high consists of 6th-8th graders, while the Senior High is all 9th-12th graders. The Sunday School is a place for the youth to develop their faith as they struggle with the questions in their lives. Through study of the Bible, group discussion, and an application of the material to their own lives, the youth explore what it means to be a Christian.
